Saturday at Jalama Beach

We decided since it was a three day weekend we would spend one day at the beach. Of course we do not pick the closes beach to us cause that would be to easy. We picked Jalama cause we have also camped there in the past and we knew we could eat there before we left and also shower down the kids and get them dressed in clothes that contained no sand. The only down side is that it is 2 hours from our house and the kids did not sleep on the way there like we were hoping. Play time in the sand!!!!!!!

Nick did good and didn't get sand all over his face until the end pretty much.

Katherine had fun doing sand angels and just twirling around pretty much. She also loved playing in the water.

The California Coast in Santa Barbara County

Katherine took great pleasure in making her brother nervous by running into the waves. He would start yelling "sissy come back!"

Since neither kid can really swim we feel better if they are wearing their life vest when we are near the waters edge. It may not be the greatest fashion look but atleast they are safe.

All dressed and ready to go to the beach that morning. They had a great day and behaved really good. They both crashed on the way home.
